The Canyons

With over 3700 ski-able acres, The Canyons is the largest resort in Utah. Its 15 lifts (we here at YouInParkCity.com don't count surface lifts or rides from the parking lot) access over 150 runs on 8 peaks featuring some incredible terrain. The resort has undergone huge expansion in the last 10 years and is continuing to improve its ranking among North American ski resorts. SKI Magazine rankings for 2008 places The Canyons as the number 13 resort in North America.

The Canyons has recently been purchased by Talisker, the company that helped develop the Empire Pass area of Deer Valley, UT and Beaver Creek, CO. There are currently no major changes that have been announced. New managemnt is following through with plans of the previous ownersand improvements for the season include more snowcats for grooming, glading some trees off Peak 5 and snowmaking expansion.

Expansion at The Canyons has not been limited to its on mountain facilities, but also includes many real estate developments as well as a proposed golf course. The real estate opportunities at the Canyons are unlimited with a wide variety of homes, condominium and lots available.
